Mats Ögren Wanger

Mats Ögren Wanger, is a photojournalist and filmmaker. 

• His photos and texts have been published in magazines like DI Weekend, Vagabond, M-Magazine, RES, Svenska Dagbladet and Göteborgsposten. 

• He is the photographer and editor of ”Mmna Ramotswe cookbok” and also photographer and editor of the book ”Som en osynlig sten i mitt hjärta – om hiv / aids i Sverige och i världen” together with Donald Boström. His photographs can also be seen in the book “Botswana – Sweden 50 years of partnership”

• His photographs has been exhibited at Lidingö library and at private gallery´s. The theme has often been on African culture and nature –  Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda. 

• He has a strong engament in Botswana. There he has produced the documentary films “Botswana: In the Footsteps of the No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency” with Alexander McCall Smith (2009) for SVT K-Special and Treatment and Hope about Botswanas national HIV programe ACHAP.

• Most acknowledged is his political debatebooks: Kan Sverige försvaras – mot vad?, Makten framför allt –  om statsminister Göran Persson and För Sverige – Nuförtiden – about Carl XVI Gustaf. The last two books have been filmed for TV4.
